Changelog & Upgrade Guide

Release Notes

Lacelium adheres to Semantic Versioning (SemVer). Major releases introduce breaking changes and major architectural features, minor releases introduce backwards-compatible features, and patch releases introduce bug fixes and security hardening.

Version 2.1.0

Released: September 2026

v2.1 Highlights

  • Laravel-Grade Documentation Engine: Introduced a brand-new 3-column documentation shell with sticky search, version switcher, active scroll-spy, and on-page table of contents.
  • Dipperlook Subsystems Suite: Consolidated deep framework capabilities into dedicated tooling modules: Dipper Console, Multi-driver Cache, Virtual Filesystems, Fluent HTTP Client, and Localization.
  • ArgusKit Studio Enhancements: Added visual relationship graphing, instant SQLite/MySQL schema inspectors, and live modal generators.
  • Global Helper Wrappers: Added zero-dependency global convenience functions for uuidV4(), slug(), arrayGet(), fileUpload(), and app_config().
  • Nexify Real-Time Subsystem: Launched native Nexify real-time streaming sharing the exact same URL and port as Lacelium, with live DOM fragment broadcasting, channel authorization, and zero port fragmentation.

Version 2.0.0

v2.0 Highlights

  • Full rewrite of the routing engine with support for route groups, controller grouping, and resource route macros.
  • Integration of Eloquent ORM 11.x as the primary database abstraction layer.

  • Async client-side Single Page Application (SPA) DOM swapping engine without full page refreshes.

Upgrade Guide

Upgrading To 2.1 From 2.0

Upgrading to Lacelium 2.1 from 2.0 is straightforward and backwards-compatible. Follow these steps:

1. Update Composer Dependencies

In your composer.json file, update your framework constraint:

"require": {
    "lacelium/framework": "^2.1.0"
}

Then run:

composer update

2. Ensure Core Helpers are Registered

Ensure that src/Core/helpers.php is loaded in your composer.json autoload files section:

"autoload": {
    "files": [
        "src/Core/helpers.php"
    ]
}

3. Clear Compiled Caches

After upgrading, clear your compiled configuration, views, and route caches:

php console config:clear
php console cache:clear
